Three show supporting Russell with his band Jackie Barnes on drums and Matt Smith on guitar.
First show Friday 11th Sept was a blast, the first time in 2020 Mescalito Blues had the chance to perform on a big stage (due to Covid restrictions). Which was just a warm up for the two shows on Saturday 12th Sept. One afternoon show then a late night show.
Thanks to Russell and the boys for having us along. Russell was a true gentleman, no airs and graces ( even thou he is Aussie Rock Royalty). He had time to chat have a drink with us and tell some funny stories from Aussie rock n rollyesteryear. He even commented how he liked our song “Mescalito” and was impressed we played all our own original blues!
It was great to see Smiley aka Simon Atkins rocking it out on a big stage bringing some driving harmonica and tasty guitar licks to the Mescalito sets!
Good time, great music, amazing musicians!!
